Harpoon Gun- 3d block out

Here i have blocked out one of the harpoon gun concepts. I figured id make multi-sub objects in max to lay down some flat colours onto the model, this will cut down the painting stage a huge amount! i don't really know why i haven't done it before. Pretty happy with how this turned out, going to take some higher res screenshots before painting over this weapon.

Hookmen Harpoon gun

Some sketches for a possible harpoon gun that the Hookmen have. liking the idea more of having pressurised gas to fire the harpoon instead of a normal rifle type mechanism, think it fits the whole theme to the book much better.

Crystal shield

Some shield designs. Liking the first 3 more, not sure which one i prefer may need to to tweak the designs still as I'm not 100% percent happy with them.

Samarol Carbine rifle

Some more weapon thumbnails for today. These thumbnail sketches are for the carbine rifle that the Samarol characters have. So i tried to add bits in to make it tie in with the characters armour such as the diamond shape. Ive also added a stopper onto the barrel so the Unmer seeing blade can be attached to the rifle.

Back to working on weapon concepts now, planning to get all the thumbnails out the way this week hopefully. Initially i had idea of having more of a sword for this design but the blade is able to attach to a rifle so i didn't want it huge but something that would still do enough damage if used in close combat. Not to keen on the first few concepts but i think i started to get someone towards the last few ideas.
